BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Authorities say they took two people into custody after a gun was shown in the parking lot of Pinson Valley High School. Jefferson County sheriff's officials say a teacher reported that a woman was brandishing a gun shortly before 3 p.m. Monday in the school parking lot. Authorities say a deputy ordered two women from a car and found a .45 caliber handgun in the vehicle. Sheriff's officials say the two women in the car were upset about a neighborhood dispute and were looking for someone involved. Authorities say one of the women had challenged another woman to fight outside the school before deputies found the gun. Authorities say a 24-year-old woman was charged with disorderly conduct. A 45-year-old woman was charged with menacing and carrying a pistol without a license.
