Send No Charges Filed in Saturday Night Fatal Accident

A pedestrian was killed Saturday night in Jackson County on U.S. 90.

The Florida highway patrol says the 11:45 PM accident happened when the pedestrian, identified as 58 year old Richard C. Stokes of Dothan, Ala., walked on Highway 90 and into the path of a car driven by 62 year old Gary L. Bates of Grand Ridge. Bates wasn't injured.

Troopers Stpokes was unidentified until Monday afternoon. No charges are being filed..
