Panama City, FL--There are two huge games ahead for the Gulf Coast Commodores, and now those games are being moved up this week!
Thanks to their comeback win Saturday over Pensacola, and Northwest Florida's loss to TCC, the 'dores are now a game behind Northwest for second place in the conference.
The Raiders are done at 12-8. Gulf Coast, at 10-8, has two games with TCC left. Originally set for Friday and Saturday, those two games have been moved up to Thursday in Tallahassee, and Friday at Frazier Field.
"We had a little scheduling snafu with the state that as coaches, we were unaware of." says G.C. coach Mike Kandler. "You were supposed to have all your games completed by such and such a date, we didn't know that and so really just for us, it's not gonna impact us one way or the other. We're just as ready to play Thursday as we would have been on Friday. This time of year practice is almost a formality, you're ready to go play. So we'll have two days of practice instead of three and then we'll get out and see if we can beat a good TCC team."
Again if Gulf Coast wins both games they will be tied with the Raiders, and that will force a one game playoff between them on Saturday at Gulf Coast!
