Reporter: Mark Vaughn

SANDESTIN, FL- The boats are still out on the Gulf of Mexico fishing for the big one in the 10th annual Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic, but we've got word that one boat has already hauled in a Blue Marlin.

Newschannel 7 Sports director Scott Rossman is the tournament emcee and he says they got word that the crew aboard the "Done Deal" based in Houma, Louisiana has caught a 125 inch Blue Marlin. They're estimating it will weigh in at in the 700 to 800 pound range.

The "Done Deal" is owned by Jon Gonsoulin, with anglers Travis Dorcand and Trevor Lott from Mobile, AL., Freddy Falgoust from Houma, Jon Gonsoulin from Houma, and Roy Wilks out of Pensacola.

The tournament record for Blue Marlin is held by Chip Temple, he caught a 714.7 pound Blue Marlin in 2009. They expect the Marlin caught Friday will challenge the tournament record.

The captain and crew of "Done Deal" choosing to stay out and fish more, so we don't expect to see that fish weighed until Saturday's weigh-ins which start at 4 p.m. at the Baytowne Marina.
