Niceville, FL--There remains just one area college basketball team still working this week. That team is the Raiders of Northwest Florida State.They are making plans to head to Nationals over the weekend.

Steve Forbes guiding that program to Nationals in just his first year on the bench there.

The Raiders won 3 straight at State last week, making them state champs and taking their overall record to 29-1.

That leads to Hutchinson Kansas next week for the 16 team national tournament. So this week says coach Forbes, it's all about practicing and staying sharp.

"I think you gotta fine tune everything you're doing. You know offense and defense, especially offense, it's more of a timing deal on offense. You know and we had two really big halves in the semifinal and in the finals, where we put 50 or more points on the scoreboard. We want to keep that going."

The Raiders will work out at home through Saturday when they head to Kansas. Their first game out there against Navarro Texas comes Wednesday the 21st against Navarro out of Texas.
