Marianna, FL--The Marianna Bulldogs play on in the 4A state playoffs!
The 'dogs scored 6 in the bottom of the third and beat Florida 8-3 in the region quarterfinal Thursday night.

Reid Long's single to left with two aboard part of that 6 run rally. His ball getting past the left fielder who dove for the ball, which rolled to the wall. That allowed two baserunners and even Long to race around for a three run single.

That was plenty for senior lefty Michael Mader who tossed 6 innings of one hit, shutout baseball while striking out ten. So Marinna now 18-9 on the season. They've earned a berth in the 4A region semifinalsTuesday, and a rematch with district rival Catholic. The same Catholic team the Bulldogs beat in the district championship last week.
