Lynn Haven, FL-- The Mosley Dolphins will play on in the state playoffs, thanks to a win at home over Tate Thursday, 5-4 the final in their region quarterfinal game.
Coach Harless and company the 6-A two champs, which had them hosting Tate, both teams 23-4 coming in.
The Aggies jumped on Mosley starter Joey Hair with one run on an rbi single to left in the first, then another rbri single in the third.
In the bottom of the third inning, Mosley loaded the bases with a single and two walks, and with one out, Hair lined one to center, the ball was caught, the runner from third scored easily. The cutoff man threw to third, wildly, that allowed Bowen McGuffin to race home to tie it at two.
The next hitter Clay Causey, singles up the middle, plating another run and Mosley led it 3-2.
In the 4th, Dolphins add another run on a single, walk, a balk and a wild pitch, then Jordan Larry getting one through the drawn in infield, making 5-3 'fins.
In the top of the 5th, an error helped lead to a couple of runs, but Hair, tiring a bit, still gets the called strike to end that rally, Bizzle comes on for the 6 out save, giving Mosley the 5-4 win. Now 24-4 the Dolphins move on to the 6A region semifinals and a game Tuesday night at Pace in Pensacola.
