UNDATED (AP) -- A new Major League Baseball season is right around the corner and there are six games on Thursday's Opening Day schedule.
American League play gets started with New York hosting Detroit at Yankee Stadium. That will be followed by the L.A. Angels at Kansas City.
The National League offers up two games where the weather will be iffy at best. There's a forecast of rain and temperatures in the 40s in the nation's capital where the Atlanta Braves play the Nationals. Milwaukee visits Cincinnati where the defending NL Central champion Reds and Brewers worked out today amid snowflakes. The forecast for Thursday in Cincinnati is for dry skies and temperatures in the 40s.
San Diego is at St. Louis and defending World Series champion San Francisco at Los Angeles where the weather is forecast to be delightful for the renewal of that West Coast rivalry.
