- It takes leaders months of hard work to get a fireworks show off the ground. Members of the DeFuniak Springs Business and Professional Association say they could not put on their annual Fourth of July celebration without the support of the community. And while it is a lot of work, board members say it is all worth it once the first firework lights up the sky.
- After the Publix left the shopping center on Middle Beach Road in Panama City Beach, every other store followed suit, except one. The nail salon remains alive thanks to its regular customers.
