The United Way of Northwest Florida kicked off its annual campaign this week. The goal is a record for the area $2.2 million.
Members of the Pacesetters, representatives from 18 leading companies and governments in the Bay County area have already raise $591,000 towards this year’s goal.
The United Way supports at least two-dozen service agencies in the area.
Campaign leaders say they felt sure the $2 million plus goal would be reached by the time they wrap up the effort on November 18.
