It's been a week since Hurricane Ivan slammed ashore causing massive damage in some parts of northwest Florida, and for the first time in eight days there are no curfews in one area coastal county.
No curfews or travel restrictions remain in effect in Okaloosa County.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office reminds motorists to exercise caution at all times on the road. Debris removal and utilities repair work continues, necessitating occasional lane closures and detours on major roads.
Traffic delays have been reported in west Okaloosa County on U.S. Highway 98.
Two lanes of Highway 98 are open between Fort Walton Beach and Destin. In the construction zone, no passing is allowed and a speed limit of 45 mph is in effect and enforced.
