The Navy is planning a series of public hearings to analyze the impact of military testing on bay and Gulf waters around the Florida Panhandle.
The hearings are being organized by the Naval Surface Waters Center in Panama City.
The environmental impact statement being prepared by the group will look at the effects of military testing on wildlife, water and air quality, fisheries and other resources.
It will take about a year to complete the study and publish results. It's to be updated every five years.
Hearings are planned early next month in Pensacola, Panama City and Port St. Joe.
