Lawmen Search for Ft. Walton Beach Bank Bandit

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Bank Robbery which occurred Tuesday afternoon.

A white male presented a robbery note to a teller and fled on foot with cash from the First City Bank branch at 24 Racetrack Road, N.E., Fort Walton Beach.

The stickup took place few minutes after 3:30 p.m.

The robber was described as unshaven, tan complected, with grey hair and a grey mustache. He appeared to be in his 50s and was wearing eyeglasses, a light colored ball cap, a long-sleeved blue shirt over a mustard-colored tee shirt, and white jeans.

No weapon was displayed and nobody was injured in the robbery.

The robber left on foot, carrying cash in his hands. No security camera photos are available.

The same bank was victim of a robbery on August 4. A suspect, John Edward Blanding II, age 35, of Niceville, was arrested in connection with that holdup 15 days later.
