The on-again, off-again murder trial of Ricky Dawson is on once again.
Dawson, a transient, has once again been deemed mentally competent to stand trial for second degree murder.
Panama City police believe he is the man who murdered 53-year-old Kathy Lejay and dumped her body into Massalina Bayou three years ago.
Dawson's competency has been an issue. Twice before he's been sent to the state mental hospital for treatment.
This week, Bay County Circuit Judge Don. T. Sirmons set Dawson's trial date for December 6.
