The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shootings of at least ten goats at a farm in Laurel Hill over the weekend.

Marlin Nobles of 8471 Davis Road contacted deputies Saturday to report that many of his goats had been killed sometime overnight. Deputies found nine dead goats inside a pole barn about 200 yards from the home and another three dead goats in a nearby field.

Ten of the animals, including five pregnant goats and one kid, had been shot. Deputies were unable to determine the cause of death of two others.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office in Crestview at 850-689-5650, Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS, or the Animal Services Division of PAWS at 850-244-0196
