Police Look for Bank Heist Suspect

A robber using a bomb threat as his weapon held up the Vanguard Bank on State Road 20 in Niceville shortly before noon on Monday.

Okaloosa County sheriff's deputies say the bandit told a teller an accomplice was waiting outside the blow up the bank. He got the money and left with an unannounced amount of cash. No one was hurt.

No accomplice was found and there was no bomb.

The robber was described as a clean shaven, light skinned white male, medium to thin build, between five feet four and five feet six inches tall. He appeared to be 30 years of age and was wearing a dark gray ski cap, black sunglasses and a Hawaiian shirt with a gray shirt underneath.
