Cedar Grove police were the first to respond to a “Tom Thumb” at the corner of Highway 390 and Highway 231 just after midnight Sunday morning.
There they found 26-year-old Andrea Rath and 38-year-old Wesley Adkins of Missouri with a rented SUV. Authorities say they then searched the vehicle and found two pounds of ice, marijuana and prescription medication.
Ice is methamphetamine in its purest form and costs more than regular home cooked meth. Authorities also found a gun on Adkins.
Bay County sheriff's officials say a call from a “Tom Thumb” clerk made the bust possible. It took authorities almost four hours to process the crime scene.
