Since early-October there's been talk about a severe flu shortage nationwide.

Thousands of people at high-risk of catching the flu have waited in long lines at clinics around town for the valuable vaccine.

Now that were well into the flu season those hoping to fight off the virus may finally get what their looking for. Bay Walk-In is getting a couple thousand doses of the vaccine Tuesday by noon, and the new supply is open to everyone.

The Center for Disease Control says the flu is getting off to a slow start this year. No one's reported widespread flu activity yet, only sporadic outbreaks.

But even if you're not concerned, most residents say it's nice to know the flu shot is available. Bay Walk-In even plans to get another shipment in January, which is when most health officials say the virus has a widespread effect.

Bay Walk-Ins Front Beach Road location is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The walk-in clinic on the corner of Highway 77 and 23rd street is open 8 a.m. to 8 at night Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

It will cost you $30 to get the vaccine at Bay Walk-In.
