Larger fees and rising property values aren't keeping developers from pushing ahead.
Destin city council members unanimously approved permitting for a new target shopping center Tuesday night. It will be built at the corner of highway 98 and Main Street at the old Bruno's Supermarket location.
The new Target store will take-in 130 thousand square feet.
Developers are hoping to rent space to a grocery store and several other retailers in the location.
Construction should begin in the next 60 days and should be completed by the end of the year.
