Police Search for Motive in Double Shooting

An overnight shooting in the Glenwood section of Panama City sent two people to the hospital for treatment.

Panama City police say the received the call around 8 p.m. to the home at 818 East 8th Ct.

Twenty-five-year-old Jarvis Bowden of Panama City was shot several times in the chest. Keith Johnson, 32, of Jacksonville, was shot once in the arm.

Bowden was admitted to a local hospital in guarded condition. Johnson was treated and released.

Police say the shootings took place behind the home at the corner of East 8th Court and Bonita Ave. Officers were searching in the bushes around the backyard, apparently looking for clues or evidence.

There’s no word yet on a possible motive.

Police say anyone with any information about the crime is asked to call the Panama City Police Department at 872-3100 or the Crimestoppers Tips Line at 785-TIPS.
