A Wakulla County man is being charged with killing his wife and dumping her body in southeast Alabama over a month ago.
Seventy-two-year-old Jerry Davis made his first court appearance hearing Thursday in Crawfordville.
He was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of his 65-year-old wife Julia Davis.
Investigators say Davis confessed to hitting and strangling his wife during a fight in mid-December, then dumping her body on a road in Kinston, Alabama near Geneva.
Davis called the Sheriff's Office on December 14 to report his wife missing. Alabama officials found Julia Davis' body the day before, but didn't know who she was.
