A northwest Florida mother accused of abducting her two young sons from a relative who has custody says she felt betrayed and beaten down.
Twenty-six-year-old Angela Howard says she tired of waging a seven-year battle with the state.
Howard has returned to her home in Clarksville, west of Blountstown in Calhoun County. Earlier she was released from jail in Panama City on a $12,500 bond.
She's charged with interfering with custody, battery and burglary. Police say they tracked her to a relative's home in the south Walton County area.
The children had been taken about a week ago from the yard and home of their great aunt in Springfield.
An amber alert for seven-year-old David Howard and two-year-old Caleb Howard was lifted when the mother was taken into custody.
