A Washington County five-year-old is fighting for her life in UAB hospital in Birmingham.
Paramedics took Alexis Holley and her grandfather, Jimmy Williams, to the University of Alabama Medical Center Wednesday afternoon.
They're both in critical but stable condition. Both suffered severe burns in a house fire in Washington County.
The house on Miller's Ferry Road in New Hope caught fire about 9:30 Tuesday night. Alexis' mother Kristin Holley and Williams’ girlfriend managed to escape unharmed.
The State Fire Marshall's Office is still trying to find a cause. The family’s home and all their belongings were destroyed in the late night blaze.
