Troop Care Package Drive

This month marks the second anniversary of fighting in Iraq. Day-to-day life in a war zone is staring to weight on troops, but a local soldier's father is trying to provide them with a few more comforts of home, and he needs your help.

You can drop off items at Newschannel 7 or at Michael Creel's work at ARINC off of Thomas Drive until the end of this month.

Here's a list of items the troops need and want:

Magazines
Games
Writing notebooks/pens/envelopes
Gourmet coffee
Coffee creamer
Powdered laundry detergent
Plastic bottles
Boxes of tissues
Deodorant
Dried snack mixes
Presweetened drink mixes

Bath soap
Toothpaste and toothbrushes
Hard candy
