Federal agents raided a chain of panhandle liquor stores Thursday, and shut-down all of them.
This was the scene at the Paradise Liquor Store on Tyndall Parkway. Federal officers seized all of the store's merchandise, store records, even the cash registers. And that wasn't the only store.
The Feds did the same thing at all of Paradise's 10-panhandle stores.
Sources tell Newschanel 7 the seizures were part of a foreclosure proceeding. Paradise Liquors of the Emerald Coast bought the 10-stores from Southern Family Markets back in November. Then on January 31st, Southern Family sued Paradise in Federal Court in Pensacola.
No word as to the financial dispute between the 2-companies, or what will happen to the stores, the merchandise, or the state-issued liquor licenses, that can bring anywhere from 300-to-400 thousand dollars on the open market.
