Investigators are calling it one of the most gruesome murders in Bay County history.
A 19-year-old man is under arrest, charged with beheading his wife.
Deputies say Blake Collier killed his wife, 19-year-old Lennia Hing-Collier, back on March 21.
Mrs. Collier's body was found Wednesday afternoon in some swampland just west of the Hathaway Bridge. She had been buried in a shallow grave, which was unearthed by the bay waters.
Bay County Sheriff Frank McKeithen says Collier confessed during an interview Wednesday afternoon.
“He told us he strangled his wife, decapitated her and removed some of her body parts.”
Deputies are looking into whether Mrs. Collier was pregnant. If so, Blake Collier could be looking at two counts of murder. He is at the Bay County Jail without bond.
