Corrections officers found 35-year-old James Sly hanging by a bed sheet in a fifth floor jail shower early Tuesday morning.

After his death, his wife Tanjala Sly broke down at the jail trying to get some answers.

Wednesday, Sly's mother Glenda gathered with family and friends. She says jail officials won't give her any answers as to why her son was no longer considered a suicide risk.

Glenda says, “Asked them to help my son. I went to all the judges, the lawyers, the feds lawyers. He was suicidal. Why would they just leave him alone like that in the middle of the night? It's not right."

CCA says Sly was depressed over family issues before he died.
