They say you can find just about anything on ebay. You may have heard about the grilled cheese sandwich with the image of the Virgin Mary or, the latest unusual item, a pretzel with an image of the baby Jesus, but there's a Jackson County man with an anomaly of his own.
This not the first time this snake catcher has come across something unusual.
Jeffery Sexton, a snake skinner, says, "I've had one skin that had the Superman emblem. Not the S, but the shield that the S is on."
Jeffrey Sexton says that he noticed another familiar image after he killed an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake at his sister's house and kept its skin about six years ago.
"I tanned it. It wasn't until I got it tanned and tacked I noticed, ‘hey, there's Mickey Mouse on the skin.’ "
This snake must have had a diet heavy in rodent protein for the image of the world's most famous mouse to appear on its back.
"It's natural. There's no man involved in putting the image on there. It's 100 percent."
Sexton says that recent online sales inspired him to take his snake skin out of the closet and onto the market.
"Then when I starting seeing the thing on ebay about, you know, Virgin Mary grilled cheese sandwich, Virgin Mary honey mustard pretzel, hey, I got something better than that."
So he decided to put his Disney image baring snake skin up for bid just like those that came before him.
Sexton says that the price of his snakeskin is a lot less that what a family of four would pay to visit Mickey's park
According to msnbc.com, the 10-year-old grilled cheese sandwich baring the image of the Virgin Mary sold on ebay for $28,000.
