Bridge Crash Kills One Person

An Eastpoint woman was killed last night in a traffic crash on the John Gorrie Bridge at Apalachicola in Franklin County.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 54 year old Vicky Harris Segree when her car was struck head on by a pick up truck that crossed the center line of highway 98 on the two lane bridge. A passenger in her car, Sabrina Hicks, 37, of Eastpoint was seriously injured.

Troopers say the pick up driver was 19 year old Chandler Moses of Apalacicola. He crossed the center line and crashed into the front of the other vehicle and rolled over several times. He was seriously injured.

Charges are pending completion of the accident investigation.
