Arkansas Police Chief Dies from Thunder Beach Related Crash

Chief Joe Landers of the Lowell, Arkansas Police Department passed away this morning at Bay Medical Center in Panama City.

He was critically injured last week when his motorcycle collided with a car that pulled in front of him on Thomas Drive near Quartz Street at Panama City Beach. He was vacationg in the area as part of Thunder Beach.

The Driver of the car Jimmy John Christo, Jr of Panama City fled the scene but was arrested a short while later.

The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash and charges are pending.

    Terribly sorry to hear chief Flanders lost his fight. We were all pulling for him here. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and the town of Lowell.
