One Killed in Ebro Motorcycle Accident

Authorities have re-opened a stretch of Highway 79 after being blocked off for several hours due to a fatal motorcycle accident.

The crash happened around 5:30pm on Highway 79 near Environmental Road in Ebro.

The Florida Highway Patrol says 61 year old William Garner Reeder od Dadeville, Ala was riding his motorcycle north on SR 79 just south of the intersection with SR 20.

As he approached Environmental Road he left the northbound lanes, drove into the grassy median and overturned several times.

He died at the scene. Trooers say Reeder was not wearing a helmet.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
