There is a not-so-happy update on that baby abandoned at a local police department last month.
The two-month-old baby was found at the front door of the Panama City Police Department April 20.
After seeing the NewsChannel Seven story about the child the following morning, the child’s mother changed her mind and told police she wanted her baby back.
The mother was supposed to undergo parenting courses and meet other requirements before getting the child back. Now, police tell us that not only has the baby been put in foster care, the mother’s other child has now been placed in foster care as well.
The state Department of Children and Families refused comment on the case.
