Marianna Murders Follow-Up

Two months ago Marianna police found the bodies of 19-year-old Danielle Baker and her three young sons inside of their Marianna apartment.

Two months later and thousands of man-hours of investigation, authorities don't appear to be any closer to making an arrest than they were that day.

Jessica Creamer's lived at the Old Cottondale Apartments for over a year. She says the neighborhood changed two months ago.

"Everything when I first moved here was pretty calm and quiet. People are coming and going now. Most people are wanting to move."

On March 17, 19-year-old Danielle Baker and her three boys all under the age of four were found murdered in an apartment. Authorities have yet to name a suspect, but they say two months on the case has not slowed down their effort.

Lou Roberts, Marianna Police Chief, says, "We're still continuing that effort and we're making strides even though they seem somewhat slow, we've had over 200 leads that have been followed up on or still being followed up on."

Marianna Police Chief Lou Roberts says the investigation team is still awaiting lab results from over the over 5,000.

"That doesn't necessarily mean that there has been 5,000 articles collected at the crime scene, but the evidence that has been submitted to the lab, that evidence has generated that many different exhibits for examination."

The command post for the investigation team that includes four different agencies is headquartered at the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Chief Roberts says as the investigation moves along the location may change.

"Right now we're just going to take it one day at a time and we may make that decision in the next week or so as to down size it to the Marianna Police Department.

Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
