An armed robbery occurred Sunday night at the Beach Shopping Center between Front and Back Beach Roads.
Bay County sheriff's investigators say just before 8 p.m. a young woman walked into the Dollar General store and told the clerk to "give me your money." The clerk didn't have a key, so she called over another clerk in the store who opened the register.
Investigators say the suspect got away with $100. They say there were several witnesses, including one who didn't even know what was going down.
"There was another customer that came in kind of in the middle of this, prior to other cashier coming in and opening the drawer. That witness didn't realize what was going on," Bay County Sheriff's Investigator Jason Daffin said. "She saw the cashier with her hands kind of up, and she thought she had messed up with the register and went to the back of the store."
Luckily no one was hurt. Witnesses say the suspect jumped into a nearby vehicle driven by a man who then sped off.
She's described as pale skinned and between 19 and 20 years old. She is roughly 5'5" tall and weighs about 120 pounds. Witnesses say she was wearing a black beanie cap, has distinctive blue eyes and freckles. She was wearing a camouflage jacket and green pants.
