Corvette Club

High gas prices aren't keeping car enthusiasts from hitting the road.

Over 200 members of the Circle City Corvette Club made the trek from Dothan, Alabama to Panama City Beach Friday for their annual corvette caravan.

It was an impressive sight as sporty parade, made up of the all different makes and models, made its way down Highway 231.

Corvette owners from all over the southeast take part in this event to raise money for local charities, but fun and camaraderie also play a big part.

Delana White, a Corvette enthusiast, says, "My daddy had a '69 Stingray and I couldn't reach the clutch to drive it, so I finally got 40 and got one. This is our third year caravanning. It's fun."

The Corvette models range from a 1963 to a pre-production model of the 2006 Z06.
