A group of area high school students is working to help less fortunate children.

The Bay High School National Honor Society set up a booth at the Panama City Mall Saturday to raise money for the "Smile Train."

It's an organization that helps kids around the world with "Cleft Lip and Palate" problems to get corrective surgery.

Smile Train pays for the surgery, which costs around $250 and usually takes about 45 minutes.

Students say their goal is to raise enough money for at least 2 children to get the operation. Saturday they raised around $168. Bay High Honor Society will donate $250 to the cause.

If you'd like to donate, you can send a check to the Bay High School National Honor Society.

Make checks payable to the Smile Train.
