The captain's crew isn't the only group gearing up for this weekend's fishing tournament.
Tuesday, Sandestin's Marina got a number of last minute touches, all in hopes of making this year's tournament a huge success not only for the fishers, but for the entire family.
This is the third year the Fishing Classic has taken place in Sandestin, and this year is expected to bring in about 10,000 people and about 60 competing boats.
Many fishermen here are really going in for the kill. Tuesday’s dock party kicks off the event, and Wednesday is the captain's meeting and kick-off party for the anglers.
Thursday the boats leave port and will come back Saturday for the weigh-ins.
Weigh-ins will take place both Friday and Saturday. There are first, second and third place prizes for each division, including up to half a million dollars for the angler that lands the biggest blue marlin.
