A Georgia boat owner claims he's been victimized not once, but twice by Tropical Storm Arlene.
He and his four-man crew had to abandoned the 37-foot fishing boat Friday afternoon, after Arlene began to swamp the vessel.
The U.S. Coast Guard picked them up in a chopper about 20 miles south of Cape San Blas.
It appeared their boat, called the “Happy Hour,” was going to sink.
But the vessel didn't sink. It drifted to the west about 30 miles and washed up on Panama City Beach near Highway 79 this weekend.
That's the good news, but sometime overnight, someone climbed aboard and stole a number of items from the boat, including food, electronic equipment and a lap-top computer.
Panama City Beach police are investigating.
