Holmes County sheriff's investigators have released the name of a man who apparently drowned in a creek this past weekend near Bonifay.
They've identified the victim as 37-year-old Timothy Randolph Hart.
Deputies found Hart floating in Wright's Creek about five miles north of Bonifay late Tuesday afternoon. Investigators believe he'd been dead for two to three days.
They used fingerprints and family members to ID hart, who'd recently moved to the area from Pace, Florida. Authorities say he also lived in the Dothan area for a number of years.
The official cause of death is drowning, but authorities are still trying to piece together the events leading up to Hart's death.
