Two people are dead after a boating accident in Washington County Tuesday night. It happened sometime before 7:00 on Big Blue Pond on Moody's Pasture in Washington County, just north of Ebro.
Eighty-seven-year-old James Edwin Tiller; his son, 53-year-old Thomas Michael Tiller, and Michael's wife, Rebecca Ann Tiller, were fishing on the pond. Their aluminum boat capsized.
The woman managed to swim the 30 feet to shore, but her husband and father-in-law didn't make it. Fish and Wildlife officials say they didn't get on the scene until after 8:30.
Search teams located both men's bodies about midnight Tuesday night.
James Edwin Tiller was from Vernon. Apparently his son and daughter-in-law were visiting from Houston, Texas.
The incident is still under investigation.
