A three-year-old child has died, apparently an indirect result of Hurricane Dennis.
The young boy was killed as his family was trying to evacuate from Hurricane Dennis.
Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say 33-year-old Gerald Miller of Defuniak Springs was backing a vehicle up to hitch a trailer onto it. Three-year-old Christopher Miller was in the vehicle at the time.
Troopers say for some reason a side door was open and Christopher jumped out. That's when the right front tire rolled over the boy, killing him.
He died a short time later. The mishap is under investigation.
