A longtime assistant state attorney and children's advocate has died.
Pam Smoak died Monday night at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Smoak, a prosecutor for the 14th Judicial Circuit, was well known for her work with the Children's Advocacy Center which was dedicated to helping victims of child abuse.
Smoak is survived by her husband Richard and her daughters.
Funeral services will be announced later by Wilson Funeral Home in Panama City.
