Snow is hampering the recovery efforts in Wyoming for two Walton County residents who died in the crash of their small plane in the Bighorn Mountains.
Fifty-seven-year-old Alfred Terry Sutley, the owner of the plane and a passenger Sharon Hicks, both of Miramar Beach in south Walton County, were killed when the plane crashed on Tuesday.
Search crews could not even find the wreckage until late Wednesday afternoon.
The FAA says Sutley was flying from Casper, Wyoming to Kansas City when he encountered bad weather.
Either Sutley or Hicks was able to make one distress call, saying the single engine Beechcraft’s wings were icing up and they were loosing altitude.
