Two Panama City men are being accused of running a gambling house, and Panama City police are asking for your help with the investigation.

Twenty-four-year-old Laxman Dandi and 53-year-old Mohammedi Hussin appeared before a local judge Sunday morning. The judge released the two men from jail and their next court date is set for May 29 at 1 p.m.

Yesterday the Panama City Police Department was tipped off that illegal gambling machines were located at the gas station off 11th Street in Panama City.

The Quick Fill gas station is directly across from Jenks Middle School and on the corner of 11th and Florida Ave. The tip-off ignited an undercover operation in which city police discovered and confiscated two video slot machines at Quick Fill.

Apparently the station customers were playing the video slots and being paid by the cashier. During their investigation Panama City police found more machines located at the Pop In on Highway 98 just before Gulf Coast Community College and the Hathaway Bridge.

Dandi and Hussin are being charged with keeping a gambling house which is a considered a felony. Now Panama City Police Department tells us the investigation is still ongoing and more charges may come.

Again, anyone with information on this suspected gambling house are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (850) 785-TIPS.
