There’s still no official cause on a late Monday fire in Callaway, but foul play is not suspected in the case.
Firefighters were called to a blaze at the old Callaway City Hall on Cherry Street about midnight.
Investigators think it started somewhere in the conference room. State Fire Marshal investigators tell NewsChannel Seven the fire looks accidental, perhaps caused by something electrical.
The building, which is now used by the Callaway Assembly of God Church as a youth center, sustained about $20,000 in damage.
Firefighters from Callaway, Springfield and Bay County responded to the blaze.
