A store on Back Beach Road is now open with free items for Hurricane Katrina victims.
Volunteers and staff of the Panama City Rescue Mission have been collecting donated items at the warehouse at Ibis Lake Realty at 17775 Back Beach Road since Labor Day.
Evacuees can shop for any necessity items. There is no money needed and the Rescue Mission plans to continue aiding the evacuees in relocating to our area.
Volunteers and all sorts of donations are still needed to run the free store from 9 to 5 Monday through Saturday. They’re located about two miles west of State Road 79 on Panama City Beach Parkway, also known as Back Beach Road.
