You'll be seeing a lot more law enforcement on the roads during the next few weeks.

Today kicked off the statewide Click It or Ticket campaign. From May 19th to June 1st Panama City and Bay County's agencies will aggressively ticket drivers not wearing seat belts. It's a simple task that can easily save your life.

One Okaloosa County deputy knows from experience. A little over a month ago he was in a serious car accident.

"This is the safety belt out of my patrol car. In the short amount of time it takes to do this and buckle yourself in, you're making an investment into your future. My return on that investment is being able to have my boys sit on my lap again and spend time with my family. I have two young boys," said Deputy Mark Raiche.

Forty six people died in traffic crashes in Bay County in 2006. Thirteen of them died as a result of not wearing their seat belts.
