Bay County will be welcoming a new business in the next few months. Tuesday morning county commissioners approved a property tax abatement for an Atlanta-based company called Digitax.

The abatement means the company won't pay county property taxes for 10-years. Digitrax manufactures digital command controls for high-end model train sets.

Company officials want to relocate their facility from Atlanta to a site off Transmitter Road here in Bay County.

Digitrax officials expect to be operating by August, initially employing about 10-people. But they should be up to 50-employees within 2-years.

Some of the company's top management will be making the move as well.
