Panama City Beach police have arrested a Hurricane Katrina evacuee on drug charges.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jessica Jernigan of Lacombe, Louisiana was arrested at a local pharmacy as she was picking up prescription drugs.

Investigators say she called pharmacy employees, gave them a fake name and told them she worked for a local doctor. She was phoning in four prescriptions for painkillers

Officers arrested her at the drug store when she showed up to get the drugs. She told lawmen she had evacuated from Louisiana during Katrina.

In addition to the local drug charges, she is facing several outstanding warrants back home.
