A suspected bank robber arrested last week after holding up the Prosperity Bank on 23rd Street allegedly had been busy taking cash from banks all over the tri-states area.
Forty-eight-year-old William Brantley of Tallahassee was arrested less than an hour after he held up the bank in the Wal-Mart Plaza and led deputies on a chase into Washington County.
As it turns out, Brantley is accused of robbing banks in Dothan and Eufaula, Alabama, Bainbridge, Georgia, Tallahassee, Florida and two in Panama City.
He was arrested after a private citizen got a good description and tag number of his stolen getaway car.
FBI officials have not decided whether they want to prosecute the case in federal court, since three states are involved, or to let each state try its own cases.
